How long will it take to install my irrigation system?

Although many factors are involved, such as ground conditions and weather, an average sized residential system will take about two days and a larger sized residential system will take about five days.

Will the installation damage my lawn?

Our modern installation techniques cause very little disruption to your lawn.  We use a trenchless installation method and pull pipe under the ground.  Usually within a few days, you won’t even be able to tell we were there.

Is there any maintenance that will need to be performedon my irrigation system?

When it is time to turn the irrigation system on in the spring, the entire system should be tested and adjusted to ensure the best coverage.  The system will also need to be winterized in the fall, which means all of the water is blown out of the pipes to prevent freezing damage.  Advantage Irrigation can provide both of these services for you when needed. 

What brand products do you use?

Advantage Irrigation uses only top quality irrigation supplies.  These products are manufactured by Hunter, Rainbird, Toro and Irritrol and are the best in the business.

What permits do I need to install my irrigation system?

Advantage Irrigation will either acquire the necessary permits, or guide you through the process of obtaining them.  We also arrange for all utilities to be located before digging.  Our quote will specifically list the items included so there are no surprises.

How long should my irrigation system run?

Every lawn is different, sun and shade conditions, soil conditions and landscaping all varies.  There are guidelines you can follow to create your own custom watering schedule.

Will my system run when it rains?

No.  We install a rain sensor on every system.  Your controller will shut the system off when you receive a significant amount of rain. 

Where will my controller be installed?

Your automatic controller can be installed in your garage, basement, in an out building or outside.
